Azay-le-Rideau

Azay-le-Rideau is a small  sixteenth century town located 36km to the north of Braye on a loop of the river Indre. The town has a Château which ranks among the Loire Valley's most famous and graceful and details can be found in any Loire Valley guide.

During half term week we took my daughter and family there for a visit and parked where we usually park by the old water mill just on the outskirts of the town. We commented that during the summer of 2009 Elizabeth had walked all the way across the weir. The family looked in disbelief ........... Well they are from the rainy North West of England!

Azay-le-Rideau; well worth a visit at any time of year.
