First Snow of 2013

This morning saw the first snowfall of 2013 for us, though we suspect readers in the UK might be laughing at what we call a 'snowfall' after today's forecast for across the channel!

We drove over to Susan and Simon's, (more of this elsewhere, I guess, Susan?) travelling along La Ronde du Chêne...
 and past the frozen etangs....

Even a little bit of snow can look magical....

particularly with a tiny wren in the frame. (this last photo taken from Susan's kitchen window!)

Yep, I've just written our post for tomorrow. The wren is so cute.

We have had a couple of minor snow falls but nothing worth talking about. Love the wren. Keep warm Diane

Like you, we have had our first snowfall of 2013 today! Probably no more than 3 centimeters -- if that. Needless to say enough to close the Grandson's school early! Still it's lovely to see it coming down, don't you think?
