The Hammock...

Since we cut back and trimmed the bases of the popular trees at the back of the garden it has improved the position and outlook from our hammock...

This week Elizabeth's son David has been over on a break and took advantage of the weather and the hammock to listen to his music...

David is one of the casualties of the recession with a good degree in Maths and journalism he has been unable to find full time work since graduating last year but one...

The holiday gave him chance to relax and forget the pressures of the current employment climate.

I am quite sure if I had a hammock in the garden there would never be any work done! I hope that David finds a good job soon, it must be very depressing for him. Diane

Is there a formula for the most comfortable distance between trees/supports, the height of the hooks and the length of the hammock?

Hi,
Just a couple of observations-

The brilliant thing about i-pods is that neveryone else doesn't have to listen to the music.

Hope David is soon able to get that elusive job, but the reality is for young people there isn't going to be the same quality/length of life after work that we are /hope to enjoy. I can forsee the young people of today working until they drop!

So, some R&R in a comfy hammock in a beautiful garden in France, with Mum clucking round is a real treat...
