A bit windy

Yesterday was a bit windy at times!!

It makes me cringe watching the poplars swing when they are in full leaf. They creak and groan and I think they are going to snap off any minute... but up to now they're still standing...

Elizabeth did her best to capture them bending and flexing but the pictures don't really do it justice. Bearing in mind the mean height is about 25 metres, they aren't half flexible!

It was also a bit wet!! In the end we gave up in the garden and went to do our weekly shopping. When we returned the sun was out. Typical!!

Today has been much better and we have managed a full day in the garden which, with the weather, is growing like mad.  More about that another day...

I certainly had horizontal sheets on the line yesterday!

You can see how strong the wind is when large trees bend like that. We had a more relaxed day today but lots of very light drizzle that did not water the garden but made me very wet!! Diane
