More 2CV's than you can shake a stick at!

You would think that the '22eme Rencontre Nationale des 2CV Clubs of France' would have some decent signage! No!

With all the trade stands you could have built a new 2CV from scratch ten times over..

And as the title says... More 2CV's of every age, shape, colour and modification.

Love the headlights on this one...

There were only a few like our France 3 and this was the tidiest example we saw...

The rally is on two sites: the Field (above) and the Musee

The best display of 2CV's I think we will ever see in one place.

With some examples of modifications... Elizabeth fancied this one...

There were several examples of 2CV's that had made incredible journeys or taken part in rallies...

It was well worth the visit and the rally continues until Sunday. Full details are here

A stretched limo; no wonder Mrs Young likes it!!

We encountered a load of them at Amboise yesterday. They were obviously heading for la Rochelle.

And there will be more on the way today...
mainly Brits making a long w/e of it....
and the stretched limo is British built...
and recently changed hands!!
They wanted £12K for it....
and probably got it!!
Think of the "advertising draw"....
and, if you bought one...
you could act as back up for S&S...

You'd have no trouble camping in that either...
bed in the back, nice curtains for privacy at night...
a "small#" tent for all the cooking gear and a "chill-out" area...
mainly to keep your place "booked" on the site.

#By French camping tent size!!

Annnnd...
that signage is good...
VERY good...
by most 2CV standards...
it is usually a paper pointer glued to a lamp post or, worse, the kerb edge!!

And it isn't just 2CVs...
they are all as bad...
one annual event we used to go to in the UK at Grange-over-Sands used 3" square, grey on cream signs...
they were old veteran car shapes...
facing left, facing the other left and a rear view for striaght on!!
Almost impossible to see until you were actually on top of them!!
