Trogues Walk and Orchids

We went walking with friends this afternoon, setting out from the village of Trogues..

Looking back as we left Trogues..

Solomon's Seal by the path...

What a gorgeous spot for a dwelling!

A brightly colouted fungi on dead wood...

Much of the walk took us through woodland, which was a blessing as it was too hot to walk out in the open for long..

Reflections in a pool in the woods..

The last part took us through open fields where we saw some magnificent orchids..

They were dotted all over the field, which thankfully had been left untouched..

And these too..

Any help with IDs would be most appreciated, please?

And to finish with, this scene looked like a Monet painting..

A really interesting and varied walk; Perfect!

It looks like a great walk! The orchids are Lady Orchid Orchis purpurea (Fr. Orchis pourpre) and Early Spider Orchid Ophrys aranifera (Fr. Ophrys araignée)

That's right, rub it in :) Strong winds and cool here. What joy.
It looks like a lovely walk and that sky is stunning.
