Birthday Bash...

A huge "Thank you" to all our friends and neighbours who came along to help us celebrate Colin's birthday with a party yesterday.

We were very lucky with the weather and spent the whole time out in the garden enjoying the sunshine.

Having just been to the National 2CV Rally, what else could I do but make a 2CV birthday cake.... which proved to be not as easy as it sounds...

Thankfully, it tasted better than it looked!!

We were still sitting out as the sun went down...

Before everyone left, Jim entertained us with a rendition of "Stay Young", which was an absolute delight to listen to and a wonderful end to the evening. Jim, you're a star!!

I'd said on the invitations, strictly no presents please because friendship is the best gift of all, and yesterday was a perfect example.

Thank you everyone for making it possible!!

Thank you for inviting us and making us so welcome, with delicious food and wines, and best of all, great company.

It was a delightful party to mark this milestone birthday, and the weather was perfect.

Jim's rendition was very thoughtfully chosen and beautifully sung.

Sounds like we missed a wonderful birthday party!
I'm glad you all had a lovely time and that the birthday boy enjoyed himself. The cake looks marvellous!

It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and evening....
So much so, I completely forgot about picking up the Long-eared Owl pellets....
it was reading the return of the Taupes that reminded me!!

The argo propellor singing from Jim was the icing on the cake!!
