This was the target! Well part of it!
The side on the chicken coup had a dilapidated duck hut which I demolished last week. Some of it was rotten and the rot had spread to the shed! A quick repair with a piece of timber from Brico Depot and it looked much better.
The sander made short work of the rubbing down, although there was little varnish left to rub. The varnish was a large tin of light oak we bought to repaint the house windows... (A job that needs doing this year!!!! Perhaps)
It is the same make we used on our gate and has lasted much better than the English varnish we originally used. It has the consistency of a jelly and the best way to decant it is with an old tablespoon... Works a treat!
It is good to apply and the shed side now looks much better than it did. Only three more coats to go! When I have done the edge bits and sorted out the window that is...
The rest of the shed is not too bad and should be easy to do and hopefully only require one or two coats.
I hope the chickens appreciate it!

We have a bit more shed painting for you. Our usual shed painter has moved to Japan. Some people will do anything to get out of a bit of shed painting...
