Operation "Couleurs Locales" à Richelieu

The centre of Richelieu was blocked off this morning when we went to the Post Office. For some reason it was much busier than usual and there was a film crew in action in the square


We returned later in the day to see what, if anything, was happening... and it was...
There were painters everywhere and a row of bins containing paint outside Les Halles...

Apparently the paint is supplied by an organisation promoting the use of ochre and earth colours. Their web site is here.


The doors, as shown on the plan below, had been painted...

We had noticed that many of the doors had been sand blasted clean the week before when we attended the Comice du Monde Rural.

But today they had been given a new paint finish!

It has certainly brightened the place up...
