This afternoon, it being a lovely autumn day with the sun shining and very little wind, we decided a walk around the lake in Chatellerault would be nice. However... over the weekend in Chatellerault it has also been one of the many Emmaus sales held at the Parc de Expo. We have been once before back in May 2011 and blogged about it here.
So it was a case of 'two birds with one stone'... Bric a Brac in abundance...
Clothing in huge piles...
And how many of you are old enough to remember these beasties... and had a pair just like 'em?
Anyway we struck gold: we have been looking for a stand for a copper kettle my Mum had given us. We have looked at every brocante and vide grenier we have been to with no success, but today...
Just the job.
We also picked up a couple of espresso coffee cups which struck our fancy... Limousine porcelain, as well...
Both items were very expensive, being priced by the kilogram, they came in less than €1
We also bought a book on French Grammar at the pricey sum of €0.5.
It was interesting to note that the per kilo prices had halved since we were last there in May 2011, a sign of the time perhaps?
Following our happy trip to the Parc de Expo we walked around the lake... but more about that tomorrow.

It says on the bottom Union Limousine...
I have just looked in the catalogue of MP Samie and these "tasse cafe sur plateau vague" are still made. The company are in Saint Yrieix La Perche, south of Limoges.
