Hiding in the Grass...

It's taken us most of today to mow a rather overgrown lawn, after spending a couple of weeks away from Braye. (The person who could patent an effective lawn suppressant for such times would be a wealthy soul!)

However, it has its compensations and we've just found one of them - luckily in time to stop the blades of the mower...

We believe it to be a Narrow-leaved Helleborine, Cephalanthera hongifolia, one of the orchid family. This is the first one we've ever found in the garden and a very welcome addition to the bee orchids and lizard orchids already flourishing here.

Welcome back.Hope all is well with you both.

I'm sure that even if we were lucky enough to have one in our lawn, Tim wouldn't have spotted it!

We are like ships that pass in the night!
