Five Years....

It is five years today since Colin and I first met. To celebrate this anniversary we booked a holiday to the coast, setting off today.....

So why am I sitting at home on my own typing this??

Well, this is why:
 Hôpital François Rabelais Chinon

Poor Colin has picked up a nasty chest infection which has landed him in here rather than on the beach!

If you have to be in hospital there are certainly far worse places to be than this one...
The Reception Area

But I'm quite sure Colin would rather be at the beach, in full health! So:

(And if you really didn't want to wear the swimming trunks I knit for you, you'd only to say so!!)

Gosh! A chest infection bad enough to land him in hospital. That's bad! Hope it takes fright at the raft of antibiotics etc that he is no doubt being pumped full of. Take care both of you.

I once caught the train home from an entomology workshop with someone who spent the journey knitting her husband a mankini for their anniversary...

Sorry to hear that your holiday has been postponed by the chest infection. Really bad luck!

However, at the moment he is in the best place. I suppose he could wear those trunks anyway.

What a treat for the nurses....

GET WELL SOON, COLIN xx

Some people go to such extremes to avoid home knitting!
And to complete their research on the comparison between health services!!
Happy anniversary to you both and I hope he's soon well enough to come home and for you to care for him. A bad chest infection is no joke but you can always take a holiday when he's better.

I just caught up with your blog due to travel and saw the news.
