Bee Orchids and Broomrape

The first of our 2014 bee orchids are in flower today..

And among them and our many Lizard Orchids, we spotted this...

I think it's the parasitic plant, Common Broomrape, but I'm prepared to stand corrected!

Thanks for the confirmation, Tim. I've got to the point when I doubt my powers to identify a daisy these days!!

I though that this was an orchid . To later find that it was not . It is an Orobranchaceae Broomrape . I found a Knapweed Broomrape in the UK. Very big and bold standing 20 cm high
No colour as it is a true parasite
