What a difference a day makes...

Yesterday was cold, bright and sunny today was somewhat different as shown by the pictures of Braye church below. The first was taken yesterday when we returned from Pouzay and the second this afternoon.

We have had the first snow of the winter and more snow than we have seen since we have been here in France. It made for some magical views of the village and surrounding woods.

Local children and mad Englishmen!! (and women Elizabeth took the picture)

Even our garden looked great...

And as I write this it is still snowing!!!

Were you not in France December 2010?

Yes, we were but the paltry bit of sleet we had in the Braye area in December 2010 was nothing compared to the real stuff we're used to from back in the frozen north of England. And today's, as Colin said, is the first of any note we've seen since living here.

I love snow but dislike the disruption caused by difficult road conditions. I wouldn't mind a really heavy fall of snow here and a day or so off ;o)
Enjoy it while it lasts ...

Good grief, I can't believe you have snow and we haven't !! I hope it doesn't cause you too much diruption.

Of course, I meant disruption, as opposed to the word that suggests some gastric disease !!

I love looking at snow...I just don't want to have to go out in it.

Smashing photographs.

Isn't it interesting how the weather can be so different yet we are not that far away. We had at least this much snow (more probably) in Dec 2010 - I just assumed you would have as well, but that you were maybe in England at the time.
