Elizabeth photographed this Green Bush Cricket sitting on one of our roses on the 2nd November 2013.
It is still there today in the exact same place...
The rose has gone but the Cricket is hanging on in there!
Is it feeding off something? Or perhaps it just likes the view.
Any ideas!

I think this is a female Phaneroptera nana. They are nocturnal, but I don't know why it would return to the same rose after a night's hunting. The males sing to attract a mate, so she would go to him, not wait for him to come to her.
Actually, looking at photo 2 again, I think it's male, and that would answer the question.
No Susan...
it is waiting for the rose next door to open... then it will try and present that to its gal [or gals]!
