Trimming the Leylandii...

There are times when you wish you had done things differently! We started this blog with the cutting down of the Leylandii trees across the front of the house, see here and here, and at the time we made the decision to leave a few at either end. However trees being trees they do have a tendency to grow, which they have done...

Time to get the long hedge trimmer out... and the scaffolding! (Yet another use for it)

One side done, time for a rest...

By this time the temperature had increased... NOT before time..
The completed trim!

We would have liked to have taken a couple of metres off the top... perhaps another day...

We still have the hedge at the other side of the garden to trim yet... perhaps another day...

The bloke up that ladder deserves a medal. You wouldn't get me or Nick halfway up, never mind brandishing a power tool at the same time.

Just looking at the pictures makes my head spin.

You could maybe make a few quid if you have some spare time - just put an ad in le bon coin something like : "man with big ladder and power tool for hire". In French of course !!
