The exotic Hoopoe

We at first heard the Hoopoe when we went for a walk with Jean and Nick at the end of April. None of us knew what it was. Then a few days ago we saw a couple of birds that appeared to be chasing one another across our garden but at such a speed we could not get a clear view in order to identify them. This morning one decided to land and feed on our ants!! (we have millions!!).  You can hear and see more details about the Hoopoe here
