Up the Garden Path...2

and it has well and truly been a  long "path"

It was last May when we wrote about a project we had begun to revamp the path from our gate to the front door... see here  (even though we never use the front door)

Today it was eventually completed after delivery of our 1m³ of 4/10mm Mignonnettes from Deco-Stone 86

As Elizabeth is the fabric expert she laid the weed barrier...

and then spread the Mignonnettes as I barrowed them round

Once completed I gave the Mignonnettes a good degging to wash off the dust and bed them in!!! I could have waited for the rain BUT it has given it dry for the next few days!!

Now we just want some sun to enable the grass seed to grow.

The job has been on the go for 10 months and 1 day!! When are we going to edge the main drive you may ask... DON'T...

Well done. The finished path looks great and impressive team work.

I think it loookz wunderful...
now, don't edge the main drive...
hedge it...
with lavender, or box [more expensive if you do it all at the same time]...
but box would be my choice...
enough plants for one every six foot!
Then, raise cuttings from those...
and fill in the gaps...
nah...
just buy some huge flints and lay them along the edge; much easier, and no pruning!!

On the Deco site, see the list 'Les Categories'. Select the 3rd one down 'Autre products en vrac' Mignonnettes is the 4th one down... If you click the photo to see details and then click the photo again it gives you a real clear photo... They were €50 plus delivery for 1500kgs or 1m³
