The Hummingbird Hawkmoth (Macroglossum Stellatarum) put in its first appearance of the year yesterday,
Sadly I didn't get chance to focus the camera clearly before it was off on its way, flitting between the flowers. It fared far better with these miniature daffodils than with their bigger, gaudier cousins.
It has been around again today but I'd no camera to hand...

Nice! It's very worn so I guess it has overwintered.
