Two Fetes in one day...

Today, 14th July, is Bastille day in France and many of the local communes have held Fetes and Vide Greniers.

With Elizabeth's family are over for a short break to celebrate both her and her daughter, Jane's, birthdays  we attended two events, both of which we went to last year.

In the morning..

Elizabeth with her family after making several purchases on the numerous stalls!!

In the afternoon,,,

An interesting vehicle powered by a 2CV engine.
Surprisingly we made more purchases!!

A good day was had by all despite the very hot temperatures... But where were we?

So which ones did you go to....

Nice to see the Trojan Microcar and the Anglia in that display...
First time I've seen a Trojan with the hood rolled back [normally something to do with the cold and wet in the UK].

And a nice line-up of A-Series...
including an AK 250 La Poste van with a post bike on the roof!!
And now I know where they got the idea for the Blackjack Avion from...
though I don't think a propeller would be considered legal in the UK...
but it would help progress in the January Sales!!

I recognise the percussion band -- coming up today on video on our blog with full sound. They are very good.

We went to Luze motorcycle rally in the morning and to Scorbe-Clairvaux car rally in the afternoon.

Tim the micro car was a Vespa 400.
