Well things are looking up, the tree is looking healthier and we still have seven, quickly ripening, peaches on the tree.
Elizabeth prods them every day and cannot wait to try them.
In the background of the first picture are my 'not growing' butternut squashes. I have not had much success with these in the past, the last lot I grew got eaten by rodents hence the frame to lift them out of reach... This year they appear not to want to grow... Such are the joys of gardening!!

Seven peaches are better than none, which is the number of plums I have on my Victoria plum tree.
I bet they will taste fabulous.
You can't beat home grown peaches and those look wonderful. Very jealous!
What beautiful peaches! Shame about the butternuts - they do look miserable. We start ours off in pots and plant them out when they're quite big, plus we send the cats out to deal with rongeurs in the potager!
Tim these were started in pots but have not done anything at all since I put them where they are.
