What Season is It??

We noticed an unseasonal flower in the garden when we came back to Braye on Monday.. We didn't think we'd been away that long but already we have spring flowers blooming...

How time flies when you're enjoying yourself!!

It has got its hormones in a twist hasn't it. I wonder if it didn't flower in the spring because the weather didn't suit and is now responding to some trigger it didn't get earlier.

Wondered where you'd got to...
you missed Art&Lard...
all the Christmas Markets...
Lent...
I don't know...
after your wedding you must have Rip van Winkled!!

I'm certain that Susan is right about triggers...
my Uncle Harry, a horticulturalist, had a cupboard with grow lights and glass shelves in it....
he could alter light patterns and temperatures and get almost anything to flower out of season.

They used to have Morning Glory flowering....
indoors...
at Christmas!!

But here, some Primulas I bought for the front bed have been flowering off and on ever since!!
