Plumbago Update...

Last year on one of the Journees du Patrimonie we chose to visit the Château de Chavigny, at Lerné about 12 kilometres south west of Chinon,. We wrote about it here

It was there we bought the plumbago we put on a post earlier last month

It wasn't much of a specimen when we bought it and in fact we didn't bother taking a photo of it. The best we can do is this.... Look closely at what I'm carrying in the foreground of the photo...

As you may have read last month, it had grown sufficiently for me to make a willow obelisk to support it and it had produced its first flowers.

Well take a look at this update...

It's my pride and joy! Every single branch has flowers or flower buds on and I offer no apologies for posting about it again. I think it deserves it!

That's beautiful! I love the colour. I've only ever seen a darker blue and a white. Very pretty. Pauline
