Hard work.....

Two brocantes in one day...  You just have to tire out your visitors some how... We do know of others who will have exceeded this number, but for me two is more than enough!!!

With much improved weather from yesterday, we set out to the Richelieu Brocante this morning. I am ONLY looking...

In the afternoon, as we have in previous years, we went to the Teuf Tuef Club Scorbe-Clairvaux car rally and Brocante, where we met up with Jean, Nick and Lulu.

There was a very good turnout of old cars...
Several nice minis...
The usual collection of 2CV's
Including this one with a nice addition.
We want one for our France 3!!!
Some superb Tractions.
And the usual American beasts. This one I could have taken home...

The brocante went on and on... You can only look at the superb range of goods on sale for so long before your eyes and your wallet get tired...

Having said that, we had a good day and, surprisingly for us, we made purchases at both brocantes... I personally put it down to too much sun...

The brocante at the Teuf Teuf gathering at Scorbé Clairvaux is one the only brocantes I have ever made a purchase at. The excellent genuine oriental carpet in the back of Claudette cost me €40 there a couple of years ago. I just wish I could find one that would fit Célestine.

That louvred sunshade was an item from the early/mid Seventies...
I bought one for my Mini...
cheap, I was working in a car accessory shop at the time...
those "universal" plastic Venetian blades needed to be cut to shape....
the owner of this car has done a good job on the bottom corners...
they were replaced by manufacturers bringing out versions that fitted outside....
remember them on the AllAgro and the brown vinyl-roofed Mk1 Capris??
