It was the Fête de la Moto, an event showcasing bikes old and new, with a sprinkling of old tractors, cars, caravans and various other machines, alongside a brocante (car boot sale), children's rides, food tents and stalls selling every 'biking' spare part you could wish for. In other words, a complete mixture!
We were amazed at the size of the event. Parked cars lined every route into the village and I've never seen so many bikes in one place. There were examples of every bike manufacturer you could think of and more besides.
There were utility bikes
and there were fun bikes
And if you needed a spare, you couldn't go wrong with these two stalls, each with its own approach to marketing...
When you'd had enough of bikes there were old tractors by the dozen
Some held that 'special' attraction, didn't they Colin?
And then there was the radio controlled version, complete with knitted 'driver'...
The brocante lined the streets for as far as the eye could see...
And if it all got too much, there were a couple of ways of dealing with it..
- Gail and Chris - we let you off in yesterday's blog but you're not getting away with this!!
A triumph (pun intended!) for this small village and a really good afternoon out!
