Citroen 2CV Meeting, Braslou

Braslou is our neighbouring village (4km) and over the weekend it hosted a meeting of Citroen 2CVs. It was billed as 'one of the largest gatherings of lovers of the 2CV and its derivatives' and last year it was claiming over 200 cars at the meeting.

We went along on Sunday afternoon to see what was happening. It was raining profusely and we passed several of the cars leaving as we arrived at 14:00 hrs. At this point we were the only visitors to the site!

There was still a very good selection of cars and vans to see. The overall site was spacious with many of the participants camping there.

A few of the more interesting vehicles in top condition...

and others needing some care and attention...

We both liked this smart looking Charleston

There was also the usual animations and restauration...

It's such a shame it was raining so hard on Sunday but at least they had a good day on Saturday and whatever the weather they'll have had a great time.

My son's description of the 2 CV when I spoke to him last night was "that's the upturned pram isn't it". Don't know what he will say if we buy one!!
