Fruits (and veg) of our labours..

This is what we've been waiting for...

We've tended the potager since planting the first seed potatoes in March and now it's a very different scene.

Last night's evening meal went from potager to plate in under an hour

All our own work (nearly)
I'd like to claim we'd farmed our own salmon....but that would be going a step too far!!

Isn't that satisfying!

That must be so satisfying for you - well done! The produce (and dinner in general) looks fab.

Growing your own food always tastes so much better than bought. How are you coping with the dry though? I am struggling to keep my garden watered. Diane

Hi Diane We are fortunate to have two wells and the old septic tank (which holds 3000 litres of rainwater) I rigged up a pump from that and without it we would have been limited. It is easy to pump the main well dry with the sprinkler!! Colin

Well done, an excellent batch of veg as fresh as fresh can be, there's nothing better.
