And you are obviously dry enough under the spruces for ants to survive! She's getting a good feed there...
I've seen our ones trying in the potager... but their beaks get awful muddy... and they must use all the energy they get from what they get... just wiping their bills!!
The spruce is now leaning by about 5° after last nights wind. By summer it will be gone, replaced by a smaller one we have already imported from the garden in the UK. The whole garden is soggy but improving and the GW's are digging everywhere and loving it. We have two daff's out this morning!!
