Last spring Colin drilled a series of holes into our front wall after seeing a blue-tit struggling to get in and out of an existing crevice. (see here and here)
This year some of the new holes are occupied and the next generation of blue-tits and great-tits are safely housed within.
What wise parents they have...
If they had chosen a less secure site for the nest these little things would have been at the mercy of some pretty awful weather.
As it is, they enjoy the luxury of a house built of stone (well, concrete blocks, at least) and if only they could, I'm sure they'd be saying "Thanks, Colin!
