Elizabeth on the Make - Again!

This time it was willow prunings...

From that to this...

and then...

Can you see what it is yet???

It's a frame for her beloved plumbago, which we bought as a twig at a vide jardin last year. Elizabeth she first saw a plumbago ten years ago at Hidcote Manor, the arts and crafts garden designed by Lawrence Johnston and now owned by the National Trust.

We thought at  one stage we'd lost ours, but it took a turn for the better and has gone from strength to strength and today the first of its flowers has opened...

Now that's what she's been waiting for! What a colour!!

Plumbago is lovely, and so is Hidcote. One of my very favouritest gardens. Do you know he also had a garden in France, at Menton. It's called La Serre de la Madone and is open to the public these days.

I have happy memories of visits to Hidcote. That's a lovely obelisk! Just right for the plumbago.

I visited Hidcote many years ago and loved it.
The blue of those flowers is amazing - and so is Elizabeth's creation - perfect together!
