For Chocolate Lovers Everywhere...

What can you do on a rainy Saturday afternoon? How about a visit to the Festival du Chocolat at Parc des Expos in Chatellerault this weekend?

It was raining so heavily when we queued to get in that the gentleman behind me kindly shared his umbrella.... poor Colin had to shelter under a porch!! Yet despite the rain, the turn out was good.

We recognised many of the stalls from last year.. There was everything to do with chocolate, with some stall holders almost disappearing behind mountains of the stuff..

and lots of little treats for the children..

'Chocolatiers' apprentices were displaying their skills with show piece creations made entirely of chocolate. For some, the concentration was palpable...

Others took a more relaxed approach...

But the standard of work was superb....

Then there were the samples...

...and the 'things other than chocolate', such as meringues....

'Macarons'...
And candied fruits...

And a chocolate Kama Sutra (again!) (photos on demand...)

WHAT a way to spend a wet Saturday afternoon!
