We are aware that the French are having a clamp down on motoring offences, but really... is this necessary?
Perhaps we'd courted suspicion by turning up at the Honda garage in the 2CV...Or perhaps their brief was to go and test the vehicle emissions of the poor folk of Poitiers??
As they mingled inconspicuously with the traffic on the roundabout, they gave a whole new meaning to the phrase "all guns blazing"!
Meanwhile we made our way home in the 2CV, content in the knowledge that French troops have well maintained amphibious vehicles - should we ever need one!
