If you are our age and watched a certain film, circa 1967, you may recognise the post title..
It came to my mind when we drove past the fields to the south of Faye la Vineuse the other day...
Rows of plastic as far as the eye could see...
Whilst we would prefer to see green fields or crops waving in the breeze, we can't deny that this is a very successful way to grow melons commercially in this region.
Also we admire the driver of the machine which laid down the rows of the stuff... the machine itself did three rows at a time.
We'll leave it to you to work out how many "ups" and "downs" of the field that took him!!
