Yesterday we travelled up from Clitheroe, a small market town in Lancashire (and Colin's birthplace!), to Cravendale. The snow was still lying on the higher fells but the scenery was dark and atmospheric..
Today we were in Cumbria. Our journey took us up the M6, passing Lancaster, with a view of the Ashton Memorial in Williamson Park.
Then on towards Kendal, with the Cumbrian fells in the distance covered in snow..
We stopped by the River Levens, near Low Sizergh to see the rush of water going over the weir....
As we retraced our route down the M6, the sun was setting over Morecambe Bay...
and the Bleasdale Fells looked a picture with the last rays of sun catching the snow covered summit..
This house-hunting lark makes us appreciate what a lovely area of the country we live in.

You most certainly do!! Remember to look for a place with the extra bedrooms for all the visiting friends attracted to the area... xx
Gaynor, that requirement is at the top of our list.... along with a house big enough to house ALL our belongings!!
You aren't house hunting. You are just using it as an excuse for a nice day out :-)
