Our English friends had organised a farewell party, hosted by Gaynor and Tim. Everyone present had a hand in the preparations and contributed to a fantastic gift for us, of the gardening variety!
Jean, a true "Queen of Cakes", had baked a delicious vanilla and almond cake, which tasted every bit as good as it looked..
What a send off by a wonderful set of friends, who have enriched our life in France in so many ways...
Even the night sky made its contribution to the party...
All we can say is a huge
"Thank you"
to everyone there for their friendship, generosity and good wishes for the future....
We'll miss you all; but you needn't think you'll get rid of us that easily. To (mis)quote from some second rate movie, or other:
"We'll be back!"

So sorry to hear the news that you are on the move. I am not good at commenting but I so often read, and enjoy your blog. I hope that you will keep in touch via the blog from time to time so we know how you are. Take care and enjoy what ever you get up next. Diane
It was a bittersweet occasion. First and foremost we all wish you much happiness and good health as you find adventures in places new. The evening was tinged with sadness as we bid farewell to wonderful friends, but know that our friendships will continue, and that you have an open invitation to return to our little corner of paradise.
Au revoir et bon voyage... xx
We can't put it better than Gaynor!
What'll this about leaving Braye? When? Where to? Why?
We'll miss you both - best wises from Janet & Howard
