Feeding Time...

Elizabeth spotted this female house sparrow feeding her three babies this morning...

First one
 Then another
 and the third...

Where was Dad when all this was going on... Sunning himself, what else...

Whilst the sparrows have done their thing, others are still thinking about it and obviously nest building..

We will have to watch out for their young. The adults are always around our garden...

The young White Wagtails have hatched....
even if they haven't left the nest yet....
that's a whole lot of flies in his beak....
at least he's doing some work.

Don't think they are flies Tim. Have just seen him again this morning with what looks like moss. BUT then again the eyesight is not as good as it used to be!!

No...
def. flies...
that's what they tend to look like when feeding fledglings...
weaning them off the regurgitated goo they get as nestlings...
rather like hoomun babies and liquidised baby food...
but think FLIES!!
