What Big Eyes You've Got!

We've not seen many butterflies in the garden over the past few days but today we were in luck.

The Brimstone spent long enough feeding on the Scabious for me to get some photos....

Then Colin noticed a Map butterfly in its spring form - our first of the year...

But the "Butterfly With the Biggest Eyes" award goes to...

The Swallowtail...

What a stunning specimen! And just look at those eyes!!
