Walking the Dog.....

Could this be the latest trend in dog walking .. the 'Doggy Pram'

Or for the man about town, a variation on the man bag.... 'Dog in a Pocket'

Whatever happened to four legs and a lead??

  1. Bichon Frisée in a pram....
    seen it already on Dewsbury!!
It is easier, I presume, than tugging a reluctant, short-legged dog around on a lead??

And the guy? with a Yorkie in poche...
I'll bet the other pocket isn't full of nets!
My old forester, a short, tough Scot from Pit-loh-Kreee [Pitlochry to most of us] used to wear an old fashioned Norfolk tweed jacket....
the one with the expanding pockets.

In one pocket there were about a dozen rabbiting nets...
    in the other lived Dougall...
the tiniest adult Yorkshire Terrier I have ever seen....
not much bigger than a large rat...
and always kept clipped, almost to the flesh!!

Dougall was used for what he was originally bred to do...
to be a "ferret" that came back on a whistle.
He'd be sent down a hole...
when he could go no further, he'd bark like crazy...
and rabbits would pop out of every bolt hole they had in the warren.

    Dougall's reward... a couple of doggy-biscuits and a fried pig's ear...
never any raw meat, especially rabbit, so he didn't get the taste.

  2. We have seen dogs in shopping baskets, in bicycle paniers and even in a basket on the handlebars of a Harley! It was wearing a doggy helmet too!
Sadly, when we tried it with Lulu she could only fit one leg in so we gave up!
