Macroglossum stellatarum 2013

Macroglossum stellatarum - The Humming Bird Hawk Moth is one of our favourites and yesterday Elizabeth managed to get some photographs of one of the first this year. It just loved our Sweet Williams.

Interestingly it was the same time last year when we had our first sighting.

 We look forward to many more.

    Beautiful creatures, I remember them fondly from our time in France. Our sweet williams are now blooming too - such lovely old fashioned plants.
