There were signs everywhere..
From bugs crawling through bronzed leaves...
and fungi of shape and size..
to the macro-world of mosses and lichens which seem to come into their own from now until the start of the spring..
A wonderful display and a privilege to share..
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYes it really was so beautiful - the sort of walk you don't want to end....
DeleteFantastic pics. Hold on to those leaves for a couple of weeks!
ReplyDeleteOK Gaynor, I'll go round with the glue gun and see what I can do! But I don't think they'll all fall before you're over here to see them - at least, I hope not! x
DeleteGreat pix... loved the first... looked like two jets of steam on the thumbnail!
ReplyDeleteLike the Devil's Coach-Horse, too! Great gardener's friend that is...
Tim, we can see what you mean about the jets of steam!
DeleteWhat an interesting name for the bug, too. Wish we'd known he was a gardeners' friend... He may well have found himself relocated to La Croix Blanche!
You have probably got Devil's Coach-Horses... they feed on slugs and snails mainly... they are not uncommon.
