The procedure involved two men and great attention to detail.. Rack of eye was employed and discussion ensued..
Was it level?? Was it in the right spot?
Job done, the men took themselves off..
The question which really perplexes us is why is there also the following sign on the same road....
And more to the point, why 47m?? Why, when there is plenty of room to put it at a standard 50m, say??

ReplyDeletethe mystery of french traffic signs every time I come back home, I am always scratching my head, why, especially the distance written sur les bornes!!! I always feel they are approximate...
