Snowdrop

We couldn't resist photographing this little beauty at the side of the road, peeping through the snow and bowing down under its weight ....


Maybe this is why it's called 'Perce Neige' in French and 'Snowdrop' in English...!

    This weather really is not much fun, or I don't think so! I kept saying that I was afraid that this mild winter was the lull before the storm, how right it turned out to be! Thank goodness our house is warm as it feels a bit like the Arctic outside. Our poor little wild birds are eating us out of house and home and the bird bath freezes over as fast as we fill it. Have a good weekend. Diane

    Contrarary to their delicate appearance snowdrops are fairly hardy ..... and beautiful!
