They have a habit of being at head height and can catch you by surprise if you are not looking carefully ahead!
and there is nothing worse than a face-full of spiders web!
It has always amazed us how and why the spiders manage to suspend their webs in the middle of a reasonably wide path. Perhaps it is the catch the hunters who now frequent these trails. One or two caught us out...
They most certainly make a fantastic sight glistening in the low sunlight.
