Tournan St. Martin used to be bustling 4 or 5 years ago... now when we pass through on the way to the 'lower' Brenne it seems as though the soul has been sucked out! Closed shops, loose dangling shutters and poor paintwork... and no one around. In the 'season' the newly done up Hotel had an air of desertion about it... in Tournan St. Pierre [next door by a whisker] the opposite hold true... and the shop for both communities looks very busy. St.M is in 86 and St.P is in 37... is it down to department?
