Interesting bird nesting box.

We came across this interesting and simple bird box design the other day and thought it worth sharing with you.


After I had taken the photograph I began to ponder on how the pot had been secured to the wooden base...

A quick zoom in and all was revealed...


The pot had been drilled and wired to the back board. Simple!

What a great idea and I will certainly be giving it a go for next spring...

    Very simple... and, if you haven't any old pots like this... the Intermarché and Bricomarché both sell cheap earthenware pots... around 1€50 for a 6" to 7" pot... but you would have to enlarge the hole with a grinding wheel... and paint the Robins on yourself!!
