All things sparkly...

We awoke to a different world this morning. Everything was touched with frost and when the sun came out the branches sparkled ...

At ten o'clock the thermometer on the kitchen windowsill registered.....


Whilst outside getting a supply of wood in, we took some photos of the beautiful frost patterns and ice crystals before the sun got to them...

  
 
 
 
 
 

By 11 o'clock the temperature had risen to a balmy -11C and I don't think it's gone much higher all day... (Though I think we did manage -8C at one point this afternoon!)
